New York City would be hit with at least $850 million in cuts under the federal budget proposed by President Trump, according to a new analysis by City Controller Scott Stringer.

The spending plan the President released Tuesday for the 2018 fiscal year would slice and dice programs that funnel money to the city for housing, schools, health care and more.

“This budget has been called dead on arrival in Congress — and let’s hope so,” Stringer said.
